Scott has been married to Sally for 17 years. They have 2 children; daughter Amy (14) and son Aaron (12) both of whom were born in Melbourne, Australia. Currently the family has 7 passports as all but Scott are duel-citizens. As missionaries they served the Africa Inland Church of Tanzania (AICT) in theological education, Scott having served with the Africa Inland Mission (AIM) for 20 years in ministry. More recently Sally & Scott served as Co-Interim pastors of Community Covenant Church in Scotts Valley.
Scott has been associated with the Evangelical Covenant Church denomination since his youth, baptized - confirmed and then after completing his Masters in Biblical Studies from Columbia International University graduate school of Missions, So. Carolina was sent by the Covenant to serve the AICT thru AIM. Scott loves to garden and see things grow - he’s also passionate about God’s Word and communicating that with others. The Weiss’ own a home in Mission Springs, Scotts Valley.
Scott joined CLC as interim Pastor in January 2020.

Leona was born and raised in the Bay Area and moved to Santa Cruz in 2001 to attend Bethany University, where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and went on to get a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology. After working in mental health for a few years, she decided to return to her love of numbers and pursue a position at UCSC as a Financial Analyst and now as the Bookkeeper and Administrative Assistant for Christian Life Center.
Leona met her husband, Brian Rovegno, while in graduate school and they have been married for almost 11 years. They have two children, Eva and Judah, who are 3 and 1 years of age. She enjoys running, playing beach volleyball and going on hikes with her family in her spare time. They have attended Christian Life Center for six years where they have enjoyed participating on the worship team, leading Community Groups, and serving on the prayer team.
